Q: How much does it cost to join?
A: Membership costs $30 for an individual, if the member already belongs to the NRA, and $40 for an individual who is not a member of the NRA (the extra $10 will cover the member's associate NRA membership) and $45 for a family membership. Memberships last from May 1 to April 30.
Q: Can I shoot if I am not a member?
A: Yes, you can pay a $10 fee to shoot for one day. If you pay for three sessions (after getting the intitials of the range master on your temporary permit) you will be a full member (plus $10 if not already an NRA member)
Q: Can I shoot at times the range is closed?
A: No. Only Range Masters can shoot when the range is closed, otherwise the hours are Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday 6:30-Sunset). The range is closed unless there is a Range Master to supervise shooting. There will be days when there is no Range Master scheduled, and so the range will be closed on those days, even if a Saturday or Sunday. Be sure to check the Calendar before coming out.
Q: What facilities does the range have?
A: Beacon Hill Rifle and Pistol Club has a 100 yard rifle range, pistol ranges, and a shot-gun range.
Q: How do I become a Range Master?
A: Range Master's are members who have been with the club at least two years and whose safety can be vouched for by other members. Range Masters must volunteer their time on at least three shooting days and also in the maintenance of the Club. People desiring to become Range Masters must attend the last Winter/Spring meeting.
Q: Does the Club provide shooting supplies?
A: The Beacon Hill Rifle and Pistol Club provides shooting benches and target stands. All other supplies must be brought by the shooter.
